Okay, I\u2019m going to get a little real today, so bear with me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are you ever just… sick of Facebook?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t mean the cute kid pictures or the funny memes. I mean the pity-party posts. You know the ones. Someone posts one side of a story \u2014 just their side, their narrative \u2014 and suddenly the comments are all \u201cI\u2019m so sorry!\u201d and \u201cYou didn\u2019t deserve that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But there are always two sides, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I saw a post this week where someone shared an article about getting rid of no-fault divorce \u2014 saying it would keep families together. Then they added their own story about how hard it was when their family broke up because the other person \u201cjust wanted to leave for no reason.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And maybe you read that and feel bad for them. But if you knew the other side… well, maybe the other person had been promising to change for years. Maybe they weren\u2019t being treated well. Maybe there was a lot more going on that wasn\u2019t in the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It just got me thinking. There are people out there going through really hard stuff that they didn\u2019t choose \u2014 cancer, job loss, struggling to feed their kids. And then there\u2019s the curated drama for likes. I\u2019m just so tired of the curated drama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can I be the only one who feels this way? I know I\u2019m not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Okay \u2014 rant over!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On to the good stuff.We have a new grandbaby! He is SO stinkin\u2019 adorable. He came out with all this brown hair, but the tips are blonde. He looks like he has little frosted tips. I\u2019ve been calling him my Backstreet Boy baby. \ud83e\udd23 He\u2019s just perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In other news \u2014 I\u2019m supposed to have surgery on Tuesday. Fingers crossed it actually happens. I have been trying SO hard not to get sick because everyone around me is sick right now. I was doing so good until today \u2014 throat is scratchy and I\u2019m coughing. Ugh. I\u2019m praying it\u2019s just sinus stuff and allergies. I really don\u2019t want to have to postpone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So that\u2019s my little life update \u2014 a rant and some real news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
