Just wanted to pop in with an update on how Monday and Tuesday went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monday morning I woke up SICK. Good Lord – congested, coughing, head felt like it was going to explode. I took some allergy meds and off to work I went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now I was extra frustrated because my thyroid surgery was scheduled for Tuesday, and I know they won\u2019t do surgery if you\u2019re sick. I wasn\u2019t running a fever, so I was pretty sure it was just allergies and my sinuses acting up, but still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At work I was just slamming water, taking Mucinex and ibuprofen, feeling like I got hit by a Mack truck. \ud83e\udd26 But I made it through my shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I got home, I took Tylenol, more Mucinex, and went straight to bed. I basically slept from 3:30 pm until 5:30 am. I only got up twice to eat something, fill my water, and get some hot coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I woke up Tuesday feeling SO much better. Still coughing a little, but you could tell it was just sinus drainage. I had my coffee before 6:15, took a bath, and headed to the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The doctors came in, we talked about the surgery, and away I went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Surgery went good, but in recovery I had a hematoma so they had to rush me back in to find the bleeding. Thank goodness they found it quickly, and the next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was weird though \u2014 they really rushed me through recovery and into my room, and then rushed me to get out of the room too. Not that I\u2019m complaining, I don\u2019t like being in hospitals anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I went to stand up, my legs were SO sore. It literally felt like I did 200 squats and ran a mile. I have no idea why! Has that ever happened to any of you after surgery? It was so strange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyway, home I went. And at least I was able to get a blended Campfire Mocha on the way home. Yummm! Thanks to my husband Kevin \u2014 who is probably the best husband ever, by the way. Shout out to him for putting up with me. \ud83e\udd23\ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At home I was doing good. Then came time to sleep. Ugh, they told me to sleep in my recliner. So that\u2019s what I did, but every darn time I would fall asleep I\u2019d wake up coughing so bad. I was so worried I was going to start bleeding again, but nope \u2014 I made it through. No bleeding and I got some rest. Feeling pretty good today. Really sore, but Tylenol and ibuprofen are going to be my best friends today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So that\u2019s my update! I\u2019m home for a week, which will probably drive me crazy. But maybe I can get some crocheting and other stuff made to put in my new store. Just hit the Shop button up in the corner to see what I have so far!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
